Oil and Gas Industry and Energy Alternatives

6. OGI 105: Alternative Sources of Energy (Wind, Solar, Biofuels etc) In this course, various alternative sources of energy will be discussed in details. Emphasis will be placed on the environmental impacts of the various sources of energy and the global warming effects. Major topics include the following;
- Emerging technologies in power generation, transmission and distribution
- Energy conservation and green house effect
- Viability of Wind, Solar, Coal and Bio fuel as replacement to Oil & Gas
